SAN FRANCISCO—For its 27th season, Folsom Street Events will introduce a brand-new fetish party. Deviants, produced in conjunction with Kink.com, is set to become the fourth official Folsom event during San Francisco Leather Week. Deviants is the first new event to be added to Leather Week since Bay of Pigs in 2007.
Set to occur from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sept. 26 at the former Sound Factory location (525 Harrison St.), Deviants will feature two cavernous floors open for dancing and debauchery with DJs including The Juan Maclean, Zach Moore (The Space Cowboys) and Stereogamous from Australia. Kink.com plans to host “unspeakably sexy” demos on the first floor.
“For years, people have been saying that Folsom Street Fair is too short,” said Folsom Street Events Executive Director Demetri Moshoyannis. “With the introduction of the Official Closing Party of Folsom Street Fair, we can continue the party into the night. Deviants is going to be a massive affair with fantastic live entertainment, superstar DJs and much more. Like the [Folsom Street] Fair, this is a party for the entire fetish community.”
In addition to Kink.com, presenting sponsors include RECON, NakedSword, Steamworks, Mr. S Leather, Manhunt.net and GLOSS.
“I am very proud that Kink.com is a presenting sponsor of the 2010 Folsom Street Fair and Deviants party,” founder Peter Acworth said. “Folsom Street Fair has helped make San Francisco into the fetish capital of America, and that is the very reason that I moved here to start Kink.com.”
Deviants tickets and further information are available online at FolsomStreetEvents.org/deviants.
Other Folsom Street Events activities set to occur during Leather Week include the SF Leather Week Formal Dinner on Sept. 23, the Magnitude party on Sept. 25 and Folsom Street Fair on Sept. 26.
