Faultline Attracts 700 to Pornathon

LOS ANGELES - More than 700 people attended Faultline Bar's 15th annual Pornathon Lot Party Aug. 17. The event benefitted Equality for All's fight against California's Proposition 8, which seeks to ensconce in the California constitution the definition of marriage as "between a man and a woman."

Faultline owner and DJ Shawn Farnsworth said the passage of Prop 8 would "potentially eliminate domestic-partner benefits in California and put gay civil rights back 30 years," so he was particularly pleased when the funds raised by the event tallied more than $3,000.

According to EFA volunteer Sabrina, the event also resulted in commitments from more than 60 volunteers who vowed to assist in the fight - more than three times the number of volunteers who committed at any previous L.A.-area event this year.

"A splendid time was had by all," Farnsworth said of the gala event. "And the ‘No on Prop. 8' Equality for All organization expressed a profound debt of gratitude to all the participants."

Sponsors and participants included Channel One Releasing, COLT Studio Group, Falcon Studios, Guys Gone Wild, Hot House Entertainment, Raging Stallion Studios and Titan Media, all of whom donated door prizes and supplied eye candy. Tony Buff, Johnny Gunn, Steve Cruz, Dean Phoenix and Zak Spears were among the porn stars who performed; Josh West and Adam Faust were among the other performers who attended.
