Edwin Brown Named Head of Business Development for Unzipped Media

LOS ANGELES - Unzipped Media has tapped Edwin S. Brown to head its business development department.

"We cannot think of a better person to represent the iconic Unzipped Media brands as we continue to expand both our print and online reach," said Unzipped Media publisher Dustin Tyner. "Edwin's experience in the gay media space makes him a valued addition to the Unzipped Media team. We look forward to working together to offer our clients and our customers the best product in the marketplace."

Brown previously worked with Berlin-based men's luxury magazine Mate. Prior to that, he was part of the West Coast ad team for Unzipped Media's former parent company, LPI Media. Brown also has worked for Genre magazine, where he got his start in gay media, G Society, and In Los Angeles magazine.

Brown's main objective in his new job is to expand the multimedia reach of Unzipped's branded properties, which include the gay magazines Men, Freshmen and Unzipped.

"I think of these publications as 'sexually forward'," he said. "They share the beauty of masculinity, fun and all the knowledge of today's active male, helping us live a life with a healthy attitude. These publications are delivered to the public with style and polish."

Brown said having fun is the key to his success.

"Learning and caring about our customers gives me an advantage," he said. "I believe each day is a new adventure."
