‘Don’t Ask; Don’t Tell’ Becomes Personal at TopBucks

TUCSON, Ariz.—“Don’t ask; don’t tell” may be the rule regarding homosexuality in the U.S. military, but affiliate program TopBucks has discovered Czech soldiers don’t follow the same rules—fortunately for fans of gay men in uniform.

“Earlier this year we had the unique opportunity to film on an active Czech military base and shoot content for a military month promotion,” said Director of Sales and Marketing Lea Busick. “The episodes turned out great, and we received a very positive response from our members about them. Due to this great feedback, we decided to revive our classic site GayMilitaryXXX.com and provide it a facelift centered on these new episodes.”

With webmasters increasingly looking for a leg up in today’s economy, Busick said the TopBucks team felt there’s never been a better time to shine a spotlight on military-themed content.

“This niche has always been popular, with lots of sites playing around with the whole notion of the so-called ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy,” she said. “With the rise of public awareness of this issue in recent months—and of course the consistent, widespread appeal of men in uniform—we believe our webmasters will find the extra sales boost they’ve been looking for by promoting GayMilitaryXXX via this new tour.”

The issue of gays in the military—often “hot” solely during national election years—has been thrust into the spotlight with the election of President Barack Obama, who in the minds of many voters pledged to overturn the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy while on the campaign trail. Observers continue to wait for Obama to fulfill the promise they perceived.

The Aug. 3 edition of The Washington Post, for example, chronicles the odyssey of Air Force Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach, a former fighter pilot with 18 years of experience flying combat missions. Fehrenbach planned to resign his commission until he heard Obama speak about the military’s gender-orientation policy during the 2008 campaign. Then he changed his mind. Now he faces involuntary separation from the service under a general discharge, not the honorable discharge he has earned.

“Like a lot of Americans, we’re watching, waiting and hoping that this unfair policy is finally put to rest,” Busick said. “In the meantime, the least we can do is give our fans a look at some hot guys in uniform, getting it on without fear of reprisals.”
