Dominic Ford’s ‘Whorrey Potter’ to Screen at CineKink

NEW YORK—Although it’s not expected to hit the streets until March 29, gay adult producer-director Dominic Ford’s 3D spoof Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls has been chosen for a screening at 3 p.m. Saturday during the seventh annual CineKink film festival.

The festival, which annually showcases selected titles from Hollywood and adult entertainment, seeks to recognize and encourage the positive depiction of sexuality and kink in film and television. Ford said he was honored to have his film chosen.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by an organization like CineKink, which prides itself on showcasing the best and most positive depictions of sexuality and adult entertainment,” he said. “I believe our film Whorrey Potter is a great representation of that, and its groundbreaking nature will be a perfect fit for the showcase.”

Aside from the addition of an extra dimension intended to make the action leap off the screen, Whorry Potter also makes extensive use of “green-screen” technology and other special effects. Ford said he believes his film to be the first adult title to combine all of those filmmaking techniques in a pop-culture spoof.

Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls stars Matthew Rush, Eddie Diaz, Cameron Adams and Robert Van Damme. Luke Marcum plays the title role. Mimi Imfurst makes a special appearance as the hilariously named Fag Hagrid.

The screening will take place in the Anthology Film Archives’ Courthouse Theatre. More information is available here.
