Company Profile: Titan Media

If Keith Webb had his way, he would chain Joe Gage to the Titan production offices for eternity. From 110° in Tucson to Alabama Takedown, the growing library of Gage-directed hits has impressed critics and consumers alike. "We love Joe," notes Webb, Titan's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "The thing I like about his stuff is there will be a 22-year-old and a 50-year-old, all in the same movie. He's got another six or seven films to go. I’m trying to lock him up as long as I can." There could be up to six Gage releases in 2006, which will join the equally lauded non-Gage titles, led by Drill and Big Muscle, that helped make 2005 so successful. With a move into a 15,000 square foot building last summer, Titan now has a full in-house studio, as well as shipping and receiving offices. Holiday hit Cirque Noir figures to get 2006 off to a huge start. "It's kind of a Moulin Rouge gone bad," Webb laughs. "It's really extreme, over the top: fisting, clowns, a female-to-male transsexual, and probably one of the most beautifully shot and edited gay films ever." Also on the horizon is Spy Quest 2, staring rising Titan star Spencer Quest. The younger-themed TitanMen Fresh line will also grow in 2006, led by director Phil St. John's Fever in January, the first of the Fresh series that Titan has produced itself. The studio is setting up a production team for the line in Prague. The new year is all about expansion: A bigger release schedule with 18-22 titles is planned. Each month should have one main Titan feature and one release from the Fresh or ManPlay line, which has shed its orgy focus and now pays homage to the all-sex loops from the 1970s. Add-in a deal that will put Titan product in a half million hotel rooms, the recent purchase of the MSR Videos catalog (including more Gage hits), and a growing presence in foreign markets, and it looks as if 2006 will be another very big year for Titan.
