Company Profile: Hot House Entertainment (January 2006)

As January gets underway, the men of Hot House are moving into larger offices (quadrupling their space) and preparing to add up to ten new employees in 2006. "We have so much going on, I don't know how we're doing it," notes VP Brent Smith. "We had an explosive growth in terms of 2005. Our bottom line was just an astonishing number. We actually overshot our target for the year, and part of that is because we were able to secure Bruno Gmünder as our European distributor. They also rolled out our first two calendars for 2006." The new hardbound book Hot will also raise the studio's profile, which soared in 2005 with hits like Skuff 3. Already gaining steam is The Missing, which boasts the studio's biggest cast ever. Trunks 2 has already been shot, and a sequel to the huge Club Inferno fisting hit Twisted (the directorial debut from David Lamm that broke Hot House records) is scheduled for April. The main line has At Your Service landing in March, while the script-driven Justice hits in June. A sequel to ManHunt.TheMovie is also in the works. Hot House will also launch a new line in February, Pack Attack. The gang-bang series revolves around one star — Kent North in the first installment — getting gang-banged by the full cast. The studio plans a monthly release for the new series and six films each from the Hot House Video and Club Inferno lines. In addition to website relaunches, DVD box sets for the popular Road and PowerFist trilogies could also see daylight in 2006. "We don't put out too many movies that don't do well," notes Smith. "But once we get full-time production people and space to have an official 'war room' and talk about ideas and have people that are dedicated forty hours a week, planning sets and writing scripts and doing all that kind of stuff — it's going to be a really exciting time for us over these next few years."
