MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - Gay adult performer/director/producer Collin O'Neal plans to start the new year with a new feature at his website. Despite retiring from in-front-of-the-camera action last July, twice each month O'Neal will take part in a live sex show to be broadcast via webcam. In addition, the site will webcast two interactive "Chat with Collin" features each month.
"I decided to do a beta testing of a webcam show about three weeks ago, and I was very surprised by the interest among my members," O'Neal said.
O'Neal said the response was particularly pleasing in light of the worldwide economic downturn, which has softened profits for even the adult entertainment industry. Despite winning a number of awards for the World of Men DVD series lensed by his studio, Collin O'Neal Productions, O'Neal said flatter bottom lines have disappointed him.
"Not only was there a massive downfall in the worldwide economy, but there is also a huge number of porn actors and other people trying to get into the gay porn Web business, making profits much harder to keep stable, let alone grow," O'Neal said.
The first live show is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. ET Jan. 7. O'Neal's ex-boyfriend, gay XXX performer Arpad Miklos, will join him for the romp.
"I am not sure what Arpad and I will do on the cam, but there may be some surprises," O'Neal said.
The beta webcam show featured O'Neal chatting with members and finally masturbating for them.
"I had a lot of fun answering questions my members had for me, and I love letting people get to know me a bit more personally," he said.
The webcam shows and chats are available only to members of O'Neal's website. O'Neal said he plans to post a calendar of upcoming events so members can keep up not only with scheduled website events, but also with his travels in search of new talent for the World of Men line.
