WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Director Chi Chi LaRue and Channel 1 Releasing have begun combing the U.S. for an as-yet-undiscovered talent to take the lead in Powertool 3.
The planned big-budget sequel to Powertool (Catalina Video, 1982), an AVN Award winner for Best Gay Adult Movie and the best-selling all-male adult video of all time, could be a star vehicle for the right performer, LaRue believes. The original made Jeff Stryker an international superstar, after all.
"The ideal candidate is not only stunningly handsome and extremely well-endowed, but he also must possess that special charisma and unquenchable sexual appetite that only a true Powertool star has," LaRue said.
The first search venue was Play Dance Club in Nashville; other "Search for the Next Powertool Star" events are scheduled nationwide in the near future.
