COLT's Danny Roddick Dead

SAN FRANCISCO - COLT Studio Group has announced the death of Buckshot Man Danny Roddick, who passed away September 13. No details have been released as to the cause of death.

COLT president and creative director John Rutherford said, "We are devastated and saddened by this tragedy. We have watched Danny grow up and everyone here at COLT Studio Group extends our most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones. He will be missed."

Kristofer Weston, a director for COLT, said of Roddick, "He was one of the most caring and sensitive people I've ever had the privilege of working with on-set. A truly beautiful man inside and out, and I'm honored to have called him a friend."

Jerry Douglas, who directed Roddick in the forthcoming Brotherhood, said, "The loss of anyone so young and talented and especially a sweet and fragile individual is heartbreaking, but for someone who was rapidly approaching the peak of his career it is doubly painful."

In addition to Brotherhood, Roddick stars in AMG Brasil's upcoming two-part Amazonia: Capture and Amazonia: Release.

Roddick's director in the Amazonia films, Dennis Bell, said, "I had the pleasure of working with Danny recently and will miss him greatly."

Roddick joined COLT as an exclusive Buckshot model in 2005, appearing in Hard Studies, Boot Black Blues, Big Rig: Extended Cab Edition, all from Buckshot, and Hostile from Olympus.
