COLT Studio Group (CSG) has signed two models, Alex Chandler and Danny Roddick, as exclusive performers for its Buckshot Productions line, but rather than call them "exclusives," the company has decided to designate its contract stars COLT Men or Buckshot Men.
In a press release announcing the signing, Kristofer Weston, CSG Marketing and Events Director, explained that the studio is dropping the, apparently overused, term "exclusive" because "it seems now to have lost all its meaning."
"While CSG will still continue to sign the finest performers to contracts, we will no longer request the industry to call them exclusives. Instead we will call performers who work solely for CSG by their respective labels as a Buckshot Man or a COLT Man,” Weston stated.
Chandler and Roddick made their movie debuts in Buckshot's HARD Studies and both appear in the just-released Boot Black Blues. Impressed with their "natural good looks and steamy performances," the studio signed the two on August 1 to "be the faces of the hardcore 'Get BUCKed' ad campaign" promoting BuckshotDVD.com.
COLT's Buckshot brand, reimagined by John Rutherford when he acquired the legendary studio in 2003, defined itself with the blockbuster BuckleRoos. Since then, Buckshot has released five titles — LeatherBound, Beyond Perfect, Big Rig, HARD Studies, Boot Black Blues — that are steadily growing the catalog and cementing Buckshot's new identity among video brands. The about-to-break ad campaign is designed to increase consumer and industry awareness of Buckshot.
Chandler and Roddick join Brian Hansen, Brad Patton, and Josh Weston as Buckshot Men. In announcing the signing, Kristofer Weston said, "We know you will instantly recognize the star potential of these two new Buckshot Men. We are thrilled to make them part of the permanent CSG family."
