C1R Celebs to Invade Cornell University

ITHACA, N.Y.—Channel 1 Releasing personalities Chi Chi LaRue, Cameron Marshall and Eddie Diaz are scheduled to take part in Saturday’s “Filthy/Gorgeous,” a gala presented by the Cornell University’s Gay-Straight Alliance.

For the second year in a row, C1R co-founder and GAYVN Hall of Fame directrix LaRue will serve as DJ and host for the party. Marshall and Diaz, stars of Black Meat, White Heat from C1R subsidiary All Worlds Video, will provide eye candy.

“Last year the kids at Cornell made me feel like a rock star,” LaRue said. “I hope lightning strikes twice.”

Filthy/Gorgeous will take place from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the WSH Memorial Room on campus. Special guest performers this year include Whore’s Mascara and Johnny “The Gay Pimp” McGovern. A charity auction will benefit Sylvia’s Place, an emergency shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth in New York City.

The fundraising effort is co-sponsored by Alternative Breaks, a student organization that runs public-service outings during spring break.

Founded in 2001, Cornell University’s Gay-Straight Alliance is dedicated to providing education, outreach, collaboration and social activities that foster an environment of understanding, respect and unity between the LGBTQ community and the larger community.
