One day after pulling off a first for CockyBoys.com, Kyle Majors is breathing a sign of relief.

"I just did our first live show last night, which was kind of an interesting ride...I went to Bobby Clark and said, ‘Look, we're doing my first live show and I'm sure we're going to fuck it up,'" Majors says with a laugh. "We were kind of fucking around to see if we could get it all working, that people could log in, and it went well. He did a great solo."

The ride has been a wild one since the site got a facelift last September. The original version was created a few years ago by former Falcon star Derrick Vinyard as his own site, with friend Majors helping out. When Vinyard called it quits, Majors took over and tinkered around, and Kyle Majors' CockyBoys.com was born.

"It's been rock and rolling ever since," he says. "I just wanted to have a good time with it. A lot of my friends are in porn - or certainly fuck around like they should be in porn - so I wanted to capture that, our goofing around and antics...I just wanted to open up the gay Los Angeles life."

Majors - who has a full-time job at a motion picture company - is not a porn star himself, much to the chagrin of many people who have met him. "In terms of the adult business, I really don't know a lot about it. It's been a crazy sort of learning experience to come into," he says.

The site features hardcore scenes, many inspired by real-life stories - Majors estimates he puts up a new one every 4.6 days - and also has solos (J.O. fans can see those for just $5 a year). Some scenes in the can were also recently posted - some shot by Vinyard, including a recent addition featuring infamous performer Nickolay Petrov.

The site also has performer bios and photo galleries. "I like to shoot stills of them that aren't necessarily sex stills," Majors says. "It kind of lets the guys open up some and captures the way they go out in public...they actually dress up. They're not sitting around in tighty whities. So their profile pictures have kind of a fashion angle, which I think captures more of who they really are."

A VIP section houses additional scenes from the vaults. Majors also hopes to have live shows every Wednesday. Interview clips - which are free, like most of the non-hardcore content - allow fans to get a better glimpse of the performers, and a Diary section is a blog that features musings from Majors and some performers, including Jesse Santana, who signed an exclusive deal with the site for Web scenes (he remains a Jet Set Men exclusive for DVDs).

"Jesse gives me kind of an anchor on-camera guy to help direct things around, and it's been through him really that I learned about some of the personal appearance stuff," Majors says. "He does a lot of that, so whenever I can, I give him pictures and handouts."

Majors also teamed up with promoter Jeffrey Sanker at the White Party in Palm Springs in April for the X-Treme T-Dance, where he conducted a model search. He notes that he doesn't have set criteria for models, but admits he likes to shoot to his tastes. Most of his models are in their 20s, and he isn't averse to nice abs. Attitude (in a positive way) is also important, as is self-confidence and innate sexuality.

"We're not a big muscle site, we're not a super-twink site. Tory Mason has been shooting some stuff with us ever since Derrick had the site...and on the other side of it we've got much more muscular jock types. I always like to mix it up," Majors says, adding he also now requires STD testing. "I only shoot safe sex anyway, but now I'm doing both...it's expensive and it's a hassle, but I think it's the right thing to do."

Majors says he works hard to film real chemistry in his scenes. "I want to shoot stuff that people want to do," he says, noting that too many sites try to force a theme. "What I think is hot is just two guys wanting to fuck, and not trying to fit into some kind of theme or forcing people to do stuff that they don't want to do."

And fans have noticed, giving the site increased traffic each month. Majors hopes to spread the word even more at Pride events this year, and promises more interaction with fans - and some extra spice on the site.

"A couple of friends of mine who are big porn stars and who have never bottomed before will do big bottoming scenes for the site," Majors says. "That helps get the name out there, and I think a lot of people will want to see that... I'll be out there slugging away as long as people want to see it."
