LONDON - A life-size marble nude of Buck Angel, "the man with a pussy," will be part of an upcoming exhibition of the work of British artist Marc Quinn.
The sculpture is expected to incorporate a number of Angel's trademark features, including his tattoos, the cigar usually hanging from his mouth and, of course, his much-publicized genitals.
Quinn is a darling of the international modern art set, most famous for his controversial sculpture "Alison Lapper Pregnant," which was installed in Trafalgar Square. The upcoming exhibit is expected to open in London next year and then embark upon a worldwide tour with stops in New York and other major metropolitan areas.
"Working with Marc Quinn is one of the most extraordinary experiences of my career," said Angel, winner of the 2008 AVN Award for Transsexual Performer of the Year. "I feel so honored to have someone of Marc's caliber look at me as the subject for a piece of art. Because I am ‘the man with a pussy' and a porn star, this sculpture will push boundaries all over the world."
