'Boy Butter' Cable Spot Banned in San Francisco

The 30-second television commercial for Boy Butter is scheduled for broadcast in New York and Los Angeles on Bravo, Oxygen, E!, and Logo.

"The agents from Comcast in San Francisco declined to air our 'You Won't Believe It's Not Boy Butter' spot," said Eyal Feldman, founder and president of Boy Butter, "because it was deemed too controversial."

The rejection caught the gay-owned and operated company by surprise. "Another gay milestone is happening," quipped Feldman, "and it is such a shame that San Francisco will miss out on the fun. It smacks of anti-gay bias and makes me feel like fighting for truth, justice, and personal lubrication!"

The commercial spoofs an iconic margarine campaign from the early '90s. It features only the hands of two men as they engage in playful banter in voiceover ending with the closing line, "Try squeezing a little Boy Butter into your tight agenda today."
