NEW YORK—Venerable European gay studio BelAmi has entered the blogosphere with an ambitious project the company hopes will titillate current fans and attract new ones. iBelAmiNews.com, a standalone blog, offers wit, photography and behind-the-scenes tidbits about life inside the porn biz.
“The [new] blog initially started out as the newsletter for BelAmiOnline.com, where it can still be accessed,” said the company’s publicist. “Its purpose was to create a place where founder George Duroy could communicate directly with BelAmi customers and people who visit the site. You will find the majority of articles on the site are written by the legendary producer himself, and they have, not surprisingly, become quite popular.”
According to BelAmi Chief Operating Officer Stuart Davis, “What we’ve seen in the past few months since the launch of the newsletter on the site is a tremendous interest in its content, so we felt it was necessary to create a standalone blog.”
The blog’s primary focus will be providing fans with the latest information about upcoming features, coupled with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and revealing information about the models.
“Although we have events that the BelAmi models attend all around the world every year, we know that our guys are not always as accessible to porn fans in the way that others might be, so we feel this gives fans a better look into the lives of these guys, who they are, what they are really like, etc.,” Davis said. “We feel positively that this blog will be entertaining for both BelAmi fans and general porn fans alike. There is something for everyone, from gossip to intimate interviews to content update notices for BelAmiOnline. In addition, periodically we will be running promotions and contests that fans can take part in.”
Among the BelAmiOnline notices currently on the blog is one announcing the online debut of a new orgy scene from the recent release Mating Season. The video will be available for download by members for 60 days.
