SAN FRANCISCO - A bearded, freckled redhead named Michael was awarded the top prize during the Mr. Muscle Bear Cub 2008 competition.
In addition to stripping off their shirts, contestants were challenged to compose an extemporaneous "bear haiku." The haiku task - which emcee Tom Orr added to the contest on the spur of the moment - was designed to test the entrants' intellectual flexibility.
The Mr. Muscle Bear Cub 2008 contest was co-hosted by dating site Muscle Bear Cub and Lavender Lounge as part of San Francisco's Bear Week.
