Bear Party, Chicago-Area Bears Plan Benefit Dance

CHICAGO - Bear Party Productions will host an evening of furry frolic April 11 at Jackhammer in Chicago.

"Chicago has always been a home away from home for the Bear Party folks," a Bear Party spokesman said. "Whether we're out there for Bear Pride or just enjoying the city, there's always something happening in Chicago. So we wanted to throw a party for all the local bears and their friends."

The party, which starts at 8 p.m., will feature dance tunes by local DJs, go-go bears, food and "surprises," according to the Bear Party spokesman. Admission is $10 at the door, and proceeds will benefit activities hosted or sponsored by the not-for-profit social organization Great Lakes Bears.

"There's no excuse not to join the party and help us support this worthy group," the Bear Party spokesman said.

CyberBears, Titan Media, COLT Studio and Pantheon Productions are sponsors of the event.

The Chicagoland party is one of a number of Bear Party Productions nationwide every year. The company focuses on promoting bear-friendly activities and events while supporting nonprofit organizations like Magnet San Francisco and the Stop AIDS Project.
