"When a URL is submitted, it very specifically looks at that URL and the meta tag code that makes up the source of the page," explained Turner. "It is the info here that is then displayed to the end user when a search is done. From the meta name, you'll get the name of the site. From the meta description, you'll get those details supplied where a description would normally be displayed. From the meta keywords, it will lay the path for which the site will be found via a search of those key words. The URL is submitted by the Webmaster; that URL is spidered to pull and post the final results that will be displayed when that site is searched for and found."
