WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Raging Stallion exclusive and recently crowned Man of the Year 2010 Austin Wilde has been named the new face of “Cocktails with the Stars,” a weekly gay adult industry get-together at Micky’s Bar in West Hollywood, Calif.
The relative newcomer took top honors in online fan voting over more well-known industry stalwarts like Adam Campbell, Adam Killian, Angelo Marconi, Dean Flynn, Ethan Wolfe, Hugo Milano, Junior Stellano, Lucky Daniels, Malachi Marx, Marco Blaze, Mitchell Rock, Paul Wagner, Reese Rideout, Vance Winter and Vince Ferelli. Contest organizer and event host Scotty B. said social networking gave Wilde an early lead.
“I knew Austin was getting more popular in the industry, but I wasn’t sure if he would win against other models who are more known than he is,” Scotty B. said. “Him winning shows the power of studios backing their models, networking through Twitter—and being hot doesn’t hurt either.”
Wilde said he was pleased and surprised to be selected as the replacement for Jet Set Men exclusive Marcus Steele, whose image has adorned posters and advertising for the past six months.
“Having only been in the industry a little over a year and living in the Midwest, this is definitely an honor,” Wilde said.
As the new face of Cocktails with the Stars, Wilde will be featured on all promotional artwork for the event, courtesy of Raging Stallion Studios. Wilde also will appear on the newly launched website CocktailsWiththeStars.com and at the website of the event’s sponsor and Scotty B.’s employer, NickYoungXXX.com.
Cocktails with the Stars occurs from 6-9 p.m. every Thursday at Micky’s Bar. Wilde and co-Raging Stallion Man of the Year 2010 David Taylor are scheduled to make a personal appearance at the Nov. 5 event. The pair plans to give away Raging Stallion DVDs and share gossip with the audience.
This Thursday Cocktails with the Stars will celebrate Halloween with the help of models from CockyBoys.com.
