GAYVN Hall of Fame'er Tom Chase is back in front of the cameras in an exciting new deal with COLT Studio whose owner, John Rutherford, directed the topman in his first bottom scene in California Kings when they were at Falcon. Rutherford announced that Tom has done a flip-flop with Carlo Masi — only the second time he's bottomed in a movie. "Tom takes it like a man and then gives it right back to Carlo," the director said. Chase also tops COLT exclusive Skye Woods in a scene that's coming out later this year.
Speaking of superstars coming back after a long absence to bottom, stud Ty Fox has done just that in Blue Blake's just-completed Musclemen Moving Co., Inc., 2. This is the first time Fox has bottomed (his top is Blake find Dakota James), and it's Blue's return to directing after a year of retirement. Before this, Blue had been taking some time off to finish his autobiography.
Also mining the autobiography field is Aiden Shaw, whose My Undoing: Love in the Thick of Sex, Drugs, Prostitution and Pornography is on the shelves right now. Former porn guy Andy Zeffer has a "fictional" account of his life as Andy Zee in XXX out this summer too: Going Down in La-La Land, which is getting rave reviews.
One of my mainstream movie sources tells me that some hot male porn stars are showing it all on Dante's Cove, the very steamy gay soap opera on Here! TV. Cute bubble-butt stud Damon Phoenix joined Brad Benton, Jacob Slader, Cole Ryder, Andrew Addams, Jason Crew, and Kyle Aames for a segment set in a sex club. Gino Colbert is the consultant for the project. Look for the full-frontal scenes on the series in September.
NakedSword.com is now showing some of the Club Papi videos — of first-timer Latino studs having sex — on their site. NakedSword is embracing the Latin-specific market for the first time, and they hope to offer special passes as well to the popular live events with the stars.
Michael Lucas joined Chi Chi LaRue and a handful of porn studs for a private fundraiser for the Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus at West Hollywood restaurant/ bar The Numbers in June. Porn pal Bruce Vilanch was on hand, as well as lawyer and politician John Duran, who put the fundraiser together.
Speaking of Bruce Vilanch, the guy who's written for Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, and Steve Martin is now "presenting" Jeff Stryker. The play, A Sophisticated Evening with Jeff Stryker, stars Jeff in what's billed as "an erotic comedy" at the Celebration Theatre in West Hollywood. It will run for three weekends in August.
Chi Chi LaRue has taken the biggest break from directing in his long career. He hasn't directed a frame since February. LaRue says, "I needed a break, it's been great." After more than half a year off, LaRue has big plans for an extravaganza that will be taped in late summer. Meanwhile, the Rascal/ Channel 1 staff has been down in San Diego ever since acquiring All Worlds Video, moving stuff from the All Worlds warehouses up to the Channel 1 offices in L.A. LaRue says, "We're going to need a bigger space." Stay tuned.
Longtime African American porn favorite Andre Bolla says he's working on a project that will combine his scenes from various movies into one DVD. He hopes to market it, but many of the companies have folded, and Bolla has scores of titles to his name, including straight, gay, bi, and trans. "I want to do my Time/ Life series of Andre Bolla," he says.
Grapik Art Productions just showed me a new line of bondage titles they have out that includes Master Derek Da Silva tying up his ward Caedon in an instructional session called How to Tie Up Your Boyfriend. Also, it's nice to see Jason Branch back as a hot daddy master working on his slaveboy, newcomer Tom Molino, in a few titles.
I was asked to give a seminar about bisexual porn around the world at the 9th International Bisexual Conference in Toronto this summer, and it turned into a lively debate about the lack of bi porn today. The connoisseurs around the world have still voted the venerable Valley of the Bi-Dolls series by Josh Eliot at Catalina as their favorite, that and the Switch Hitters series. I was disappointed that I didn't have Doug Jeffries' brilliant Bi-Back Mountain before I gave the talk. It's the kind of classic bi storyline with humor, hot sex, and good acting that Catalina, Odyssey, Vivid, and VCA used to do. Bi-Back is by All Worlds. I can't wait to tell the Conference all about it.
