Art Meets Porn for Titan Men Star

SAN FRANCISCO - The worlds of contemporary art and porn recently came together when TitanMen exclusive Alex Baresi sat for Australian artist Ross Watson.

"Whilst I've photographed and painted men of diverse careers - including rock stars, Olympic gold-winning swimmers and football stars - not all of them have been used to modeling naked," Watson said. "This wasn't an issue for Alex. The best results are always achieved once the model has relaxed fully and can transport himself to an imaginary place just as a fine actor does."

Watson is internationally recognized for his work in contemporary realism. His art portrays powerful desire and blends classic art and its modern derivatives. Described as "arresting," Watson's images usually incorporate male models.

"For many years my art has referenced 16th- to 18th-century classical paintings and sculptures for their allegorical themes, beauty and drama,"
Watson said. "I'm drawn to creating new works featuring Alex which will incorporate classical imagery not used before. I endeavor to constantly search and explore new and innovative concepts and techniques, and I plan to employ some of these with the hope of creating truly exceptional, museum-quality works."

Baresi's striking looks and masculine European features ensure the finished art born of this meeting will be stunning, a TitanMen spokesman said. The company also is pleased about the distinguished subject list Baresi joined. It includes Scissor Sisters front man Jake Shears, who modeled for Watson after a recommendation from long-time collector Sir Elton John.

"Having known Ross Watson for a long time and being a collector of his art, I had the opportunity recently to visit his gallery, which reconfirmed my belief that he is a great talent," John said. "I never tire of his paintings."

Baresi met Watson while he and Titan founder Bruce Cam and vice president Keith Webb were in Australia to promote TitanMen during the Adultex08 conference. Also on Baresi's schedule for the visit were store appearances and signings at Dungeon Warehouse and radio interviews on JOY 94.9, Australia's first and largest GLBTI radio station and producer of the CD "Classics." TitanMen's Australian website was a major sponsor of the CD's launch festivities. It also hosted a night at Melbourne's newest male-only bar, Sircuit.
