Michael Lucas has moved on up to new digs in Manhattan, on Eighth Street — bigger offices, more high profile. But nothing could be more high profile than his latest exclusive, ex-military John Paulus — whose very brief affair with American Idol winner, singer Clay Aiken erupted onto the tabloid pages. Paulus always wanted to do porn, and Lucas shot him with Wilson Vasquez "and I'm very happy with the results," said the director/performer on his blog. Auditions 8: Scandalous is Paulus' debut. Don't miss it!
Meanwhile, Lucas is being invited to speak on many college and university campuses (Rutgers, most recently), was the king of Mardi Gras in Manhattan on February 28 at a big NO/AIDS Task Force fundraiser at the Roxy, and seems to be generally turning the Big Apple social scene into the days of Studio 54 — or at least like his fabu film Dangerous Liaisons.
Though he'd been in town meeting in person with directors for less than a week, German stud Nick Mazzaro was already making waves. The massive, sexy guy who loves to dress in uniforms was picked up by the cops just a few days after he arrived in Los Angeles. He was “taken in” for a traffic violation because the cops refused to accept his international driver's license. In a scene that would have incensed anyone else, he was interrogated by the curious macho officers, but it didn't get nasty. The uber-nice Mazzaro was given the all-clear after a series of tests, but he was disappointed they didn’t do a strip search. And so his strip was at the L.A. Faultline performances of the Jimmy Z Productions Muscle Show.
On video he’s paired with Ben Campezi and Alex Fuerte in a threeway for Sex-Cess directed by legendary John Travis for Studio 2000, he’s working for both Jett Blakk and Chad Donovan in new movies, and is doing a series of Live and Raw live cam scenes with dildos and slow J.O.'s directed by Chi Chi LaRue herself!
Doug Jeffries has also cast him in Delinquents, an Electro Video feature. Nick plays one of two cops (Tyler Riggz is the other) who abuse dope-smoking slackers Jan Fischer and Tommy Blade. The cops casting is perfect as both Nick and Tyler are former policemen! Nick is also doing two scenes for director Blue Blake, who was coaxed out of a short retirement because a distributor gave him the kind of deal he was looking for. You can find out more about Nick at NickMazaro.com.
Doug Jeffries is looking for another homerun with his sequel to his Electro Video Little Big League for Channel 1 Releasing. Mixing smart dialogue and good story, his just released 2nd Inning: Little Big League 2 stars Rascal Video exclusives Jan Fischer, Eddie Stone, and Tommy Ritter as well as other hunks who know how to swing a bat — like Brent Everett, Zachary Pierce, Danny Arnez, Hans Ebson, Damon DeMarco, Trevor Knight, and Hunter James.
Falcon Studios certainly knows how to make one hungry for a Hungarian. Their Who is Joe Calderon? campaign on the Internet and elsewhere is getting lots of guys to click on their site to find the six-foot-one bodybuilder from Budapest who's soon to join the Falcon team on video.
Chad Donovan just finished directing a movie for Adonis Pictures at the sex club The Zone in West Hollywood. Called The Works, the hot cast includes Ben Campezi, Josh Carter, Antonio Madiera, Corbin Michaels, Damon Phoenix, Patrick Ross, and Jason Tiya.
It's nice to see that Dan Cross is directing again. So busy producing movies for All Worlds Video, he only has time to direct his own once a year. The latest is No Folks @ Home which he shot in Palm Springs (for All Worlds, natch). “I lucked out with fabulous performances from a lot of newcomers and I think all of the fun that we had on the set is going to shine through in the final cut," said Dan, who cast All Worlds exclusives Chad Savage and Kevin Brown with Justin Wells, Turk Mason, Vance Winters, Cam Kurtz — and hung Latino Lex Sabre who is making his debut.
Gay Chicago's Grabby Awards as well as the annual IML festival are coming up next month over the Memorial Day weekend. Will Clark is hosting several events again this year, including fundraisers for the Test Positive Award Network, and he's doing the always-fun party at the Gentry bar downtown, an event held the Friday before the awards show for the past seven years.
