All Boys to Distribute XY-Studios' Lines

DUSSELDORF, Germany - XY-Studios has signed a deal allowing All Boys Distribution to serve as the North American releasing company for the XY-Studios lines Man's Art and Street Boys.

"Both of the lines are very, very good, and I'm very pleased to get the product," All Boys president Rob Ragan said. "There was just no way I could turn down a studio like XY."

The deal resulted from a weekend of spontaneous discussions between Ragan and XY chief executive officer René Bolinski. Over the course of three days, the two men brainstormed about how to increase the studio's distribution penetration in North America and how to accomplish simultaneous releases in both Europe and the U.S. When the dust settled, they shook hands, Ragan said.

"This is one of those deals that you're just so amazed at getting so quickly," said Craig Rivas, vice president of operations at All Boys. "With the amount of awards and accolades these guys have received over the past few years, I just feel like with our way of branding and marketing studios, we will really blast these guys through the roof. Everything these guys do is top shelf."

All Boys' first release for XY will be the July 1 debut of Jizzy Toyboyz from the Street Boys line. A Man's Art title, Boys Don't Cry, will follow later in July.

Ragan and Bolinski said pricing for Man's Art and Street Boys titles will not change.

"With the pricing we've authorized Rob to sell our new releases at, we're very confident that All Boys will continue our rise to being one of the top few studios being released from Europe into the North American market," Bolinski said.

"We're going to have a very aggressive marketing campaign for these guys," Ragan said. "With the pricing set up the way it is, everybody is going to absolutely love these lines, especially the distributors that may not have had them before. They're in for an unbelievably wonderful surprise when they see how these studios move in the market."

All Boys also intends to stock all other titles XY has made available for North America, Ragan said.
