SOUTH PARIS, Maine - All Boys Distribution has signed a distribution deal with UK-based online studio Entice Male. The deal is the first of several All Boys plans to announce for 2008, according to president and chief executive officer Rob Ragan.
The Entice contract was signed in October, just after Entice Male previewed the initial edited version of its first film. The two companies plan to release the final version Dec. 20.
"Entice is one of those hard-to-find studios that feature excellent films shot in top-shelf studio quality, with an editing style to rival the very best in the industry," said All Boys post-production manager Jayson Hanson. "It's the style of film that seems to be the direction the industry is moving towards, and Entice is definitely going to be one of the absolutes for the bookstores to carry."
Ragan said the past few months have been somewhat hectic at All Boys.
"We've been super busy organizing everything involved in the Entice Male signing, and also our move from the California office to Maine," he said. "I don't suggest it [moving cross-country] to anyone, but now that all is said and done, we're really looking to make a serious dent over the next few months with some very special surprises yet to come, starting with this line from Entice. After reviewing the content, I'm convinced this line is going to turn very nice profits for the bookstores and become one of the highest-grossing films out of the U.K."
Dean ONeill, managing director of Entice Male's parent company, EM Media, said, "We started filming early in 2007. All our content was shot in high quality, as we distribute it online and on mobile/cell in Europe. After we went to No. 1 for two weeks on StrictlyGayMovies and Top Five for three weeks on GayHotMovies, we were approached by multiple distributors both in Europe and North America. This led us to the decision that we had to make this content available on DVD. We went with All Boys for North America as they seemed to understand both us and what we wanted to achieve in the region."
Entice Male plans to release eight films in North America during 2008.
