LAS VEGAS - AVNS Inc. has regained exclusive North American distribution rights for Afton Nills' Xtreme Platinum line of gay adult videos.
Previously, the line was handled by All Boys Distribution.
"Rob [Ragan, president of All Boys] took on a tough job and I thank him for his efforts and have a great deal of respect for him," Nills said of the previous distribution pact. "I consider him a good personal friend and wish him the very best with his business endeavors.
Ragan explained, "I have recently come to an end with my relationship with Afton Nills and his Xtreme line for North America. While we will always remain personal friends, he was able to get back with his original distributor, AVNS. He is so much better off with AVNS due to the way they work together, as they had the line for so long. It just made more sense for him to get back to them. I want to wish Afton my absolute best wishes in his changeover."
Nills said he plans to introduce two new product lines in the coming months: Chicken Hawk Studios will consist of edgy material with an unusual theme, and Afton Nills' Casting for Stars will consist of auditions tapes from up-and-comers, straight guys and established performers. Nills said he auditions every performer, regardless of experience, prior to casting.
"I've been looking for hot guys that not only look good on camera, but can actually act," Nills said. "It has been a challenge, to say the least, but I remain optimistic and have captured some great footage along the way. I have some very talented writers on staff who write material suited for more realistic situations, much like Once in a Blue Moon, which demanded better acting."

"We are always looking for great people to work with," Nills said. "I've had the great pleasure of working with some great stars who got their start with us filming for their first time, like Kyros Christian, Jarod Steel, Blair Mason, Josh Vonn [now Josh Vaughn], Kayden Daniels, Sean Corwin and up-and-coming Mason Ross. We've grown a great deal over the years and have nowhere to go but up.
"I'm not looking to produce or direct cheesy porn," he continued. "My goal has always been to release high-quality adult films, and I'm very excited to say we are finally achieving this. I've always tried to film my material above amateur quality, but my goal was to bring Hollywood to the adult twink films I shoot, and we are well on our way to doing just that.
The two new lines are scheduled to release one title per month beginning in June or July 2008.
"I think the audience is ready for this type of filmmaking," Nills said. "They want more for their money, and rightfully so. The amateur content and Euro bareback films are oversaturated. I think people are ready for a change and are looking for more quality material. Anyone can pick up a camera and film two guys having sex. I like to think what we do is far more than that, and I hope our audience enjoys the hard work that goes into each production.
"We've added more talent to our team, including a very talented makeup artist, cinematographer, writers and AD," he said. "I feel we're headed in the right direction, which will allow my studio to grow with the times and continue its success in this very cutthroat industry."
Nills added the Xtreme Platinum line also plans to release six new titles per year. The first will be Once in a Blue Moon, an episodic series set to debut in June.
Xtreme's next release will be Twink of the Damned, starring Mason Ross.
