In an April 4 press release, Adonis Pictures announced its signing of Damon Phoenix to an exclusive contract.
"The decision to make Damon our second exclusive was an easy one," Adonis vice-president Jeremy Spencer said. "He's got a great man-boy appeal. His face is all baby but his body is all man. He is also a total sweetheart on- and off-set — really easy to work with. His energy and excitement are contagious."
A recent Seattle transplant, 21-year-old Phoenix was introduced to Adonis by photographer Mick Hicks when another cast member fell out of Inn Over His Head. Phoenix stepped in at the 11th hour to bottom for Trevor Knight.
Phoenix just completed his second film for Adonis, Chad Donovan's The Works, which pairs him with beefy Ben Campezi. He will also be featured in a Mike Donner movie that will film next month. Inn Over His Head is in stores now and The Works will be released in May.
Phoenix, who has already appeared in movies for Rascal, Falcon, and Studio 2000, explained his decision to go with Adonis: "I chose Adonis because I felt like I was part of the family with them. It's the perfect place for me to call home." He and Andy Kirra are Adonis' only exclusives.
"I'm extremely proud of the two boys we have now," Spencer said. "I think they complement each other nicely and am really excited about the upcoming projects for both.
"Damon is poised to make a great splash in the industry," Spencer concluded. Then, acknowledging Phoenix's acclaimed bubble-butt, he said, "Anyone who's taken a look at his assets will totally agree!"
