Active Duty, Pulse Sign Distro Deal

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Active Duty Productions, a producer of military-themed gay porn, has signed a distribution deal that grants exclusive worldwide DVD, broadcast and mobile distribution rights to Pulse Distribution. Active Duty's catalog of more than 150 titles will be available from Pulse beginning March 1.

The first new Active Duty release to be made available through Pulse will be Below Deck 2. The two companies expect to release at least two new titles monthly.

"With the DVD industry seeing bumpy roads over the last year, we felt that we needed to seek out and team up with a proven innovator in the distribution arena, and Pulse just had all their ducks in a row," Active Duty owner Dink Flamingo said. "The staff at Pulse is very motivated, experienced and eager to represent their studios with an abundance of knowledgeable salespeople who are not spread thin.

"A studio should get the fullest attention possible from their distributor and not be in competition with a competing line produced by their distributor," he continued. "With their attention focused on selling for their studios instead of producing their own product, Pulse stands out among its peers."

Pulse co-owner Mark Hamilton added, "We are truly honored to have been chosen by Active Duty to represent them. Active Duty has developed a very loyal following over the years, and we are very excited to assist in further expanding its customer base while continuing to service their existing loyal customers and keeping them stocked with all of the Active Duty products."

Active Duty began as an online mail-order company and membership website in 1998 with the launch of its flagship eponymous website. The studio's titles began landing on retail shelves in 2002.
