SAN FRANCISCO - Story Film Classics: Slave Market, a compilation of 20 vintage Bob Mizer films, including the only Forrester Millard film that still exists, has been released by the Athletic Model Guild. Slave Master also has a 1951 film of Keith Stephen, who placed 6th in the 1951 Mr. America contest, and behind-the-scenes footage from Pose, Please, in which John Tristram and his costar have fun with a banana.
AMG president Dennis Bell said, "When I came across a little film box in the AMG estate, which contained old unused footage of John and his costar, Larry, horsing around on the set of Pose, Please, I thought 'Wow, this stuff almost never saw the light of day.' There's not a lot, but it brings another dimension to these models' personalities."
Mizer was sent to prison in the '50s for sending what was by the day's standards "obscene" items through the mail. He continued to work in the sex film industry through the '60s and '70s.
"Bob Mizer made a lot of films in his time," Bell said. "It is time that everyone has the opportunity to see the foundation that the modern all-male adult industry was built on."
