AEBN to Stream Bijou BDSM Classics

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—AEBN has acquired the digital video-on-demand rights to a selection of classic gay BDSM films from Bijou Video’s vault. Born to Raise Hell, a 1974 film that has been unavailable for a number of years, was the first to debut.

Filmed in 1974, Born to Raise Hell stars GAYVN Lifetime Achievement Award winner and director Roger Earl’s discovery Val Martin. The movie brought Martin international prominence in gay leather communities. In 1980, he was named second runner-up in the International Mr. Leather competition.

In early 2009, Earl was presented the Lifetime Achievement award during the GAYVN Awards ceremony in San Francisco.

Born to Raise Hell is hotter today than when it was made in 1974,” Bijou founder and President Steve Toushin said. “It is the [sadism and masochism] film that all SM films are compared to.”

Among the other Earl films Bijou plans to release through AEBN are the titles in the Dungeons of Europe trilogy. In addition, the studio will release Master and Slave’s Fisting Ballet, the only film ever to be shot at New York’s infamous Mineshaft.

“I’m excited that we can offer these titles to our customers,” AEBN’s Chris Baker said. “They are classic fetish films never before available on VOD, and I’m sure there are many who will be glad for the chance to see them, either again or for the first time.”
