3 Hot Hosts to Helm 2009 GAYVN Awards

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Comedian Margaret Cho, supermodel Janice Dickinson and "Ugly Betty" star Alec Mapa will co-host the 11th Annual GAYVN Awards, taking place March 28 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

Cho is known for her insightful and incisive comedy as well as her openness about her bisexuality. Dickinson, the "World's First Supermodel" and star of her own Oxygen network reality show, is also openly bi. Mapa, who has appeared on "Desperate Housewives" and plays the effervescent Suzuki St. Pierre on "Ugly Betty," is a popular, openly gay Hollywood actor and an activist for the LGBT community. All three hosts are performers who know how to work an audience.

Presented by NakedSword and sponsored by Manhunt, the GAYVN Awards are the crown jewel in a three-day series of events that will include a tailgate party/bar crawl through the Castro hosted by an assortment of adult studios and presented by NakedSword, a pre-show brunch with The Tim & Roma Show and a Homecoming after-party, also presented by NakedSword.

General admission is $95; VIP admission is $195 and includes special seating and access to the after-party. Tickets are available for industry members and fans at GAYVNAwards.com; details are available from [email protected].

For preferred seating blocks or to sponsor any of the events, contact Rick Loveland at [email protected] or [email protected].

The Westin San Francisco Market Street is the host hotel, offering the low room rate of $99 per night per room, single or double occupancy (plus tax, of course!). That special rate is available for three days before and after the show.

Hotel and rental car reservations can be made through Grand Luxe Travel or with the Westin directly at (888) 627-8561. Make sure to mention the GAYVN Awards rate and keep in mind that March 13 is the cut-off date for awards rates.
