Boasting a cast of over a hundred actors, bold public nudity, and direction by the industry’s most awarded auteur, Paul Thomas, Flasher is a contemporary classic that recalls the creative craftsmanship of ’70s and early ’80s adult cinema.

At first glance, the film appears to be an adventure in exhibitionism. Fans of public nudity will not be disappointed as their eyes spy Vivid Girl Savanna Samson flashing her body throughout the city of Los Angeles. However, screenwriter Phil Noir’s story exposes something far more titillating than Samson’s tits and ass — her character’s psyche.

Samson plays Gloria, an emotionally stunted woman who utilizes exhibitionism as a way of reaching out to people. When she’s angry, she flashes her tits. When she’s happy, she shows off her snatch. Revealing what she truly feels is something Gloria just can’t do. That inability drives her to seek men like tattoo artist Marty Romano, who indulges her sickness by charging admission to strangers to watch him ink her naked skin; and to reject sensitive men like Hollywood writer Randy Spears, whom she uses solely to jumpstart an acting career.

Cara Lott plays Pat, Gloria’s envious and resentful mother. Pat blames her daughter for ruining her life and is out to make up for lost time by fucking the men in Gloria’s life. She blows Romano at the tattoo shop and fucks Spears to get on her daughter’s TV series.

Intelligent and dark, Flasher shows more than kinky sex. It displays the compulsion, desperation and neurosis that sometimes drives it.
