A VHS Editor's Choice in the April 2001 AVN. Face Dance Obsession's five sex scenes, featuring — what else? — reams of awe-inspiring female booty smothering worshipful male countenances (hence the title), then getting fiercely power-plowed, uniformly rock like a Porn Valley earthquake, magnitude 6.0 and above.

Special praise, however, must be lavished upon the closer, a Danielle Rush/Nacho Vidal/Hakan Serbes threeway that is arguably the most distinctive scene director John Stagliano has ever shot in his long and distinguished career. Adjectives such as artful and darkly beautiful come to mind when viewing it. Obviously, this is not your typical Buttman footage, as wonderful as that stuff is.

Stagliano makes FDO's non-sex scenes gripping, too, as he tells a thinly scripted, yet strangely compelling (perhaps because one never quite knows what the hell is going on; everything is all dangerous suggestion) tale set in the Prague criminal underworld.

As for the technical qualities, well, the very clean transfer is up to Evil Angel's usual high standards. Typical of Evil too is the disc's bevy of extras, including extra footage not available on the VHS, fetish menu, photo gallery and cast bios.
