Garden of Eden - March 17th & 18th, Vampire Night @ Laemmle Theater

Eden Rae's posting of the following several weeks ago, prompted us to call and ask her what Vampire Night was all about.

Eden Rae, www.edenrae.com, writes: "My latest film is going theatrical, at least for two whole days any way. 'Vampire Night' will be playing at the Sunset 5 "Laemmle Theater" in Hollywood on Friday and Saturday, March 17th and 18th at Midnight (The Cult Movie shows!). The theater is located at 8000 Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, within the huge Virgin Mega-Store Mall. There is plenty of underground secure parking and a bar across the street (The Coconut Teaser) so you can get good and liquored up to enjoy the show. There will be more information on the theatrical release on the web site at: http://www.UnknownProductions.com.

"See you there! PLEEEEEEZE LOL!!! We have to fill the theater, so they'll extend the run! This is one of the funnest (and probably only) action/vampire/horror/comedy films you'll ever see. Take my word on it though, once you see it in the theater, buy a copy of the directors cut of the film if nothing else but to see the 'Material Girl' portion of my scenes

Directions to the theater from San Fernando Valley/Ventura areas: Take Hwy 101 South to L.A. Exit on Highland Ave. (approximately 4-5 miles South of the 405 Freeway) Take Highland for approximately 2 miles to Sunset Blvd then turn Right (West) Take Sunset for another 2 miles and pull into the Virgin Megastore Underground Parking. The Theater is on the 2nd Level."

Eden, who's a very busy girl nowadays, has her own company, called Subtle Pictures, and is currently trying to get several projects off the ground in addition to maintaining her website, edenrae.com.

However, she has her sights specifically set on directing independent films. "I figured if I did adult for awhile and got my name known that would enable me to go ahead and direct adult which would get me time behind the camera," she says. Rae began her adult career in June, 1997 but took most of last year off for health reasons. She's appeared in about 55 features.

G. Ross: "How did Vampire Night come about?"

Rae: "Jason Stevens of Unknown Productions needed me to do some dialog in that movie, but my schedule changed and I had to go to Chicago. I pretty much bowed out. But he got stuck looking for a dungeon for a dominatrix scene. I said I'd find something for him, so I dug up Hal Guthu's number. I sent Jason over there figuring it would be fairly reasonable and fully equipped. When I got back in town, they hadn't shot the scene yet and asked me if I still wanted to be in the movie. I said of course. So that's how I got into that one. Jason's an incredibly nice guy. He shoots stuff for the cult movie market. Everything's aimed that way.

G. Ross: "Did you know Hal Guthu well?"

Rae: "I did know Hal. I had shot a bunch of stuff for LBO and everything was shot at Hal's studios. I was in and out of his studio quite a few times. I was rather shocked by what happened. The whole scenario sounded weird to me."

According to Rae, she started acting at the age of 7, and began modeling at 14. "I did that for a living," she says. "I did fashion modeling, runway, swimwear, parts, artistic - the only thing I haven't done is stock or lifestyle. I had fun doing it."
