Adult Store Donates Thousands of Condoms to Fight AIDS

A Canadian adult store has donated 250,000 condoms to Youth Challenge International, a non-government organization that looks to involve youth in international development projects, addressing issues like gender equality, youth empowerment and the fight against HIV/AIDS.

"We want to do our part as a company that cares about people," Mercedes Jones, District Manager for Aren't We Naughty store, told CNW Telbec. "AIDS is one of today's deadliest sexually transmitted diseases. Educating people in our stores on the importance of safe sex and healthy sexuality is what we do every day. Our hope is that through donating 250,000 condoms to Youth Challenge International we can assist others in doing the same, just on a more global level."

According to the report, Canadian volunteers, working alongside local youth in Costa Rica, Guyana, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Vanuatu, will use the condoms to demonstrate their proper use, as well as distribute them at various community workshops and events.

"Donating condoms to organizations like Youth Challenge International is exactly the type of thing stores like Aren't We Naughty have the ability to offer. This donation could, quite literally, save lives."
