Naomi…There's Only One (But Where Is She?)

There were a lot of firsts at this year's AVN Awards Show, but the one that can fairly be called the shocker of the night was the absence of Best New Starlet winner Naomi.

Naomi — a powerhouse of a performer who held viewers spellbound this past year in such releases as Naomi… There's Only One (John Leslie/Evil Angel), Throb (Digital Playground), and Filthy (Third Degree Films) — is the only Best New Starlet winner in the history of the AVN Awards to not be present at the ceremony to collect her prize. AVN has been on the hunt for the elusive gal since the Awards Show in the hopes of obtaining an acceptance statement of some sort, but thus far, she has remained unreachable.

Meanwhile, her agent, Derek Hay of L.A. Direct Models, did offer a word of gratitude on her behalf, as well as an explanation of her absence from the Show.

"We are delighted for Naomi," Hay stated to AVN.com. "She's worked hard over the last 18 months, and she brought a refreshing attitude to the company and to the sets."

"She's not so comfortable in public," he went on in reference to her Awards no-show, "and unfortunately, there was a fan who was very persistent in contacting her in a somewhat aggressive manner, and it was more than she was able to handle, so she took herself out of it."

"Obviously, she's very pleased that she [won]," Hay concluded.

AVN congratulates Naomi on her victory, and wishes her continued success in her career.
