Sasha Grey

Biography

Born in Sacramento, Calif., Grey got her start in the adult industry when she was 18. She moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and her first scene was an orgy with Rocco Siffredi for John Stagliano's Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge.

Not long after her first film, Grey appeared on an episode of The Tyra Banks Show that dealt with teenagers in the sex industry. Grey has complained that the show represented her poorly, and the episode has been considered somewhat controversial.

Grey has earned numerous awards during her time in the industry, including Best New Starlet from the X Rated Critics Organization in 2007 and AVN's 2008 Female Performer of the Year. She is the youngest woman to ever receive that honor.

In 2008, Grey was cast in the Steven Soderbergh film The Girlfriend Experience and was profiled in Rolling Stone magazine's "Hot Issue."
