Randy, Inari, Ginger, Jewel Win The Critics

Randy Spears, Inari Vachs, Ginger Lynn and Jewel De'Nyle were four of the big winners at the March 16 X-Rated Critics Organization awards here. Spears took Best Actor, Vachs Best Actress, Lynn Best Video and De'Nyle Starlet of the Year.

Spears was honored for his performance in Double Feature, which had been one of the top vote-getting productions at this year's AVN Awards. Spears beat out James Bonn (Chloe), Tom Byron (L.A. 399), Herschel Savage (Nothing to Hide 3 & 4) and Bobby Vitale (The Awakening).

Lynn's Torn, her first porn film in several years, nailed Best Video - but Lynn was beaten out for Best Actress by Vachs (The Awakening), as was Chloe (Chloe), Gwen Summers (Nothing to Hide 3 & 4) and Vachs' The Awakening co-star, Kobe Tai. Vachs was also named Female Performer of the Year, ahead of Chloe, Jill Kelly, Raylene and Serenity.

Not that Summers went home empty-handed: she and Julian took the Best Male/Female Scene award, ahead of Juli Ashton and Tony Tedeschi (Bliss), Tiffany Mynx and Paul Corrigan (Return of the Night Stalker), Lynn and John Decker (Torn) and Chloe and Sean Michaels (We Go Deep).

Neither did Vitale go home empty-handed, winning Male Performer of the Year ahead of Julian, Michaels, Mr. Marcus, and Lexington Steele.

And Chloe and Lynn didn't come up short, either: their girl/girl scene in Torn took the top honor, beating out Lisa Belle and Nikita (Dark Garden), Felicia, Jenna Jameson and Nikki Tyler (Hell on Heels), Janine and Julia Ann (Seven Deadly Sins) and Roxanne Hall and Aleksandra Nice (Slutwoman).

De'Nyle beat out Devon, AVN Best New Starlet Bridgett Kerkove, Julie Meadows, and Summers to win Starlet of the Year at the X-Rated Critics Awards. For Best New Stud, the winner was Evan Stone over Chris Cannon, Erik Everhard, Nacho Vidal and Devin Wolf.

The Unsung Siren Award went to Sydnee Steele, who edged out Dee, Sabrina Johnson, Alexandra Silk and Tabitha Stevens to take the prize. The Unsung Swordsman Award went to Ian Daniels, who beat out Mark Anthony, J.J. Michaels, Kyle Stone and Brian Surewood.

The other big winner at the AVN Awards, Seven Deadly Sins, repeated victory, taking Best Film at the X-Rated Critics Awards, overtaking The Awakening, Hell on Heels, Nothing to Hide 3 & 4 and Trial By Copulation. Torn won Best Video over Dark Garden, Devil in Miss Jones 6, Double Feature and Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women. The last of those didn't come away empty, though: its final orgy scene was awarded Best Group Scene.

Paul Thomas overcame challenges from Brad Armstrong, James Avalon, Michael Ninn and Antonio Passolini to win Director of the Year. And, honored as the Worst Film of the Year, Vomitorium beat out Ass Artist 2, Kid Vegas Whoremaster, Lesbian Car Wash In Da Hood and The World's Biggest Transsexual Gang Bang.

Other winners included Bobbi Bliss (Orgasmic Oralist), Real Sex Magazine (Best Amateur or Pro-Am Series), Rocco Siffredi and Nacho Vidal (Best Anal or DP Scene, When Rocco Meets Kelly 2) and Please (Best Gonzo Series).

But don't feel terrible if you missed the ceremonies and fun - Wicked Pictures taped the awards for coming U.S. and foreign distribution.
