James Gunn Casts XXX Stars in 'PG Porn'

LOS ANGELES - Director James Gunn has cast several well-known adult video stars in "PG Porn," a short-form webisodic series for Spike.com.

"PG Porn" spoofs the generic conventions of XXX videos - minus the sex. Aria Giovanni, Belladonna, Jenna Haze and Sasha Grey appear in the show opposite mainstream actors Nathan Fillion ("Desperate Housewives") and Michael Rosenbaum ("Smallville").

"PG Porn is pornography for people who love porn but who are offended by the sex," said Gunn, whose credits include Slither and the remake of Dawn of the Dead. "So if you're the kind of guy who really likes watching the story scenes in a porn but all the silly sex stuff gets in the way, then PG Porn is for you." 

Gunn created and co-wrote "PG Porn" with his brothers, Brian and Sean. He cast the porn stars through My Space with help from Belladonna, who introduced him to other adult performers interested in doing the show. 

The series is produced by Stevie Blackehart and Peter Safran for Good Boys Productions and Safran Digital Group. Five episodes have been completed with more in the works.

"PG Porn" premieres Oct. 8. The first episode stars Giovanni and Fillion in a vignette called "Nailing Your Wife."
