The latest entry into the young starlet market is the newly formed Cherry Boxxx Pictures, a joint venture of Kevin Beechum, CEO of Kbeech Productions, and Allen Gold, formerly the Vice President of Sales for VCA Pictures.
Beechum had already conceived the company before bringing Gold on board – he started shooting videos for the company at least three months ago, long before Gold left VCA to join him. In fact, Cherry Boxxx Pictures is only one of two new lines that Beechum will be starting this year.
“If it wasn’t me in this seat, it would be someone else,” Gold, who had been with VCA since 1998, told AVN.com.
“Kevin came up with some nice numbers for me that made a lot of sense. This is my opportunity to spread my wings and make some serious money,” Gold said. “VCA treated me very well. Russ was like a father to me, but with the takeover, I had to consider all possibilities available.”
The possibility that Gold fixated on was joining long-time friend Beechum as a partner at Cherry Boxxx Pictures. The new video company will concentrate on turning out two titles a week, all of which will feature 18-25 year-old women. Each release will have six sex scenes and at least 120 minutes of sex.
“Our research shows that consumers are picking up the new faces, not the known talent unless there is a phenomenal pr campaign behind them,” Gold said.
“We’re not going after the couples, we’re going after the 18 to 30 year olds,” Gold added.
All Cherry Boxxx releases will be simultaneously released in both VHS and DVD format.
