Five and a half years in the making, Naked Ambition is Michael Grecco's photographic paean to the adult industry and one of the slickest art books we've seen in a long time. Branded an "R-rated look at an X-rated industry," Naked Ambition is as big as the business it covers: 10 inches by 14 inches and 224 pages. The full-color, full-page portraits range from the usual suspects like Jenna Jameson (yawn) to far more interesting players like Rob Rotten, Buck Angel and Tina Tyler. And though the book covers the porn industry, the photographs are anything but graphic; this book would be at home on any coffee table. The text that accompanies the lush photos is as playful as the portraits themselves. With a few notable exceptions, sex toys don't factor much into this book, but the two vibrators that close Naked Ambition just prove that Grecco knows how to save the best for last.
