PACOIMA, Calif. - Fantasy Lingerie is catering to the booming sexy costume business by launching their Ultra Sexy costume line geared towards lingerie and adult retailers.
"The sexy costume business has really exploded over the last five years and has quickly become bigger than Christmas for many retailers," said Sean Monahan, national sales manager for Fantasy Lingerie. "Yet, that growth also poses a challenge to adult retailers who don't really want to offer the same sexy costumes all the temporary Halloween stores sell next door to them for less. Couple that with the fact that their customers are likely looking for something a little sexier, more along the lines of ‘bedroom costumes.' We think our collection will give their customers more of what they're looking for without sacrificing their margins."
Monahan said that Fantasy Lingerie understands the difficulties adult and lingerie retailers face when merchandising costume accessories, such as hosiery, wings and gloves. So, they bundled these accessories with many of their costumes.
"With today's economic challenges, many retailers are exploring ways to branch out and develop new revenue streams," he added. "Sexy costumes can certainly be one area that most retailers can capitalize on, and we think this Fantasy costume line will be an ideal partner in capturing this segment."
