Synopsis

Ironically, THE MATINEE IDOL is a movie whose production was marked by as much scandal as the story it tells... Which perhaps explains why it's one of the most anticipated releases of the year! In this big-budget feature from producer/director Gino Colbert, Ken Ryker plays a Hollywood superstar whose gay porn past is about to catch up with him. Faced with the threats of being exposed in the media and possibly losing his career, Ken must decide whether to run from the truth or face it once and for all. We won't spoil the ending for you, suffice it to say that Ken handles his tribulations like a real man. Boasting one of the most impressive casts assembled this year, as well as Ken's hottest performance ever, and you have the makings of an instant classic. Only from HIS Gold Plus.

Reviews

Unlike the buzz surrounding its mainstream equivalent (Waterworld), you can definitely "see the money spent" on Matinee Idol. The sound quality's superb and the vibrant videography is sure to end up on this year's short list of nominations.

In a lucky break, worthy of Hollywood lore, Ken Ryker got the juicy, starring role after Ryan Idol bailed from the project. We see much more "holly" than wood from Ryker, and many of the other big ticket performers, but this video should push him over the edge, and onto many nomination lists. The excellent script by Rick allen (another nomination?) is well-executed, except during the plot's all-important climax.

Thanks to the aggressive marketing behind this project, it is sure to sell like hotcakes. The hot buttered boxcover will put customers in the mood for more than popcorn. A must-stock item.
