A potential blockbuster: a big-budget remake of an iconic bestseller, starring the full roster of Vivid Girls and publicity-fueled by a Showtime series about its creation.

Director Paul Thomas and writers Dean Nash and R. Eye have reconceived Debbie as a journey through the afterlife where, it turns out, there is plentiful sex both above and below.

Jump-starting the story is the bitchy battling between Debbie (Stefani Morgan) and archrival Alison (Monique Alexander).

At the beginning of the movie, Debbie is dead. Flash back six days and we see how, thanks to Alison, she was done in by an uncaught "triple double tumble flip."

Debbie convinces her celestial hosts to let her be reincarnated as Hillary Scott. But she and Alison both wind up in Hell, where who do they meet but Miss Jones (Savanna Samson), straight from Vivid's remake of that other porn classic. The ensuing orgy is the picture's hottest scene.

Death and reincarnation - heavy stuff for a comedy, but Thomas keeps it fast and funny. Morgan and Alexander both give top-drawer performances. Penny Flame and Evan Stone are amusing as a couple of piss-elegant angels.
