Hardly anyone cares about the plots in porn movies, which is a shame, because if the sales were based on the drama and the porn scenes, we'd see hotter porn movies. True Power tries to be a "real" movie (and it sometimes succeeds) but more often than not, a sense of "eh, fuck it" runs throughout this middling effort.
The story, an examination of the circles of influence at work in the investment-banking world, has potential, but the details are off. The office of this supposedly multi-billion dollar investment firm is chintzy as hell; The businesswomen dress like sluts as opposed to professionals; a woman demonstrates her intelligence by talking about the "repercussions of the Louisiana purchase on Colonial America" - taken alone, these aren't great flaws, but add them to the rest of the mistakes and you end up with the possibility of a great story ruined by typical porno laziness and dumb-assity.
Oh, right, the sex. Porn people are good at sex, and that's on display here. Lots of nubile broads like Ava Vincent and Lezley Zen live up to their star status by turning in acceptable sexual performances, including a smokin' anal outing from Ava Vincent and a lesbo scene with Devon Michaels and Brittney Skye. Nothing to write home about (except the anal Ava) but all serviceable scenes here.
