Slick... stylish... hot... and perfect.

As taken from Mark Kernes' review of the video (Editor's Choice, August 2002) -- "At least once in this reviewer's lifetime there'll be a production that he feels incompetent to describe properly." With a bar that high, it'd be easy for the disc to fall short of the expectations that would inevitably arise. But the disc, like the video, lives up to expectations and the title of the movie, with a flawless transfer.  Melded with a dystopic future storyline and the well-short, excellently-cut hallmarks of Michael Ninn's features, it's a total package that retailers would be well advised to stock many and deep for discriminating viewers of adult.  The sex lives up to Private's reputation, as well, and is as hot as any of its European-borne offering.

Extras on the two-disc set include bonus footage of Private contract girl Jodie Moore doing some tease and light masturbation (edited, no doubt under Ninn's hand), behind-the-scenes footage, a making-of-featurette, five still galleries and a soundtrack (though compressed, rather than being left in PCM).

Like the video, the disc deserves pre-noms for Best DVD, Best DVD Menus, Best DVD Extras and Private would be wise to use this disc as one of its examples for the Best DVD Authoring category.
