Once alone in the field of "erotic documentaries," The Electric Blue series now finds itself outfinanced and outclassed by the video branches of Playboy, Hustler, and (any day now) Penthouse magazines. Since all four feature essentially the same format and spots, it takes something really unique and different to make one group stand out. Unfortunately for its creators, Electric Blue 10 proves that hiring a superhero as master of ceremonies is not the answer.

California's at fury and wielder of the peanut butter gun, Captain Sticky, provides framing sequences along with a bevy of gorgeous female assistants. Other "articles" include a look at the Paul Raymond erotic review in London's Soho district, a review of the classic adult film, Story of O, and four softcore featurettes. FO these, only one is noteworthy: a pair of very attractive girls work out their bodies in a spa and their feelings for each other in two lesbian fantasies of wildly different types.

If E.B. is going to continue, it should make a serious effort to showcase informative reports on matters erotic and balance the education and titillation in its tapes. There is a market for a well-made tape of this sort, but Electric Blue 10 just scratches the surface.
