Old Tobias, heartbroken over an affair that ended years ago, asks a psychologist to research the meaning of the word “desire.”  He’s hoping to come to terms with his romantic miscue and, hopefully, learn something before he dies rich, lonely and forgotten.

Kay Parker fans should have no complaints about Kay in this slickly produced effort; she’s seen on screen more often than any other flick in recent memory. And, as we’ve come to expect from the classiest elder woman in porn, she adds a believable and sympathetic performance as the psychologist.

Equally fine are redhead Tamara Longley, Oriental tease Mai Lin and petite Bunny Bleu, all acting out their desires in flashback sequences.  Unfortunately, the film’s two main failings prevent it from a being better than mediocre.  The meandering dialogue, insipid and amateurish, almost makes you forget how well crafted a production this is.  Also, Bill Margold’s performance as Old Tobias is more than a bit overdone. The laughably hammy role throws off the serious tone of the rest of the film.

Kay Parker and girls make Desire worth a watch, though.  So, let’s hear it for the girls.  Let’s give the girls a script.
