With a little like Trinity Brown, you may be expecting another one of those cheap, shot-on-video affairs, featuring an all-black cast.  Well, here’ good news: this one’s a top-notch production, showcasing some of porn’s best performers and a decent storyline.  A classy movie all the way.

Trinity Brown is actually the name of a carrot-topped, female police detective, played by buxotic Colleen Brennan.  She’s investigating a mysterious murder case, and joining her on the job is stud-like compatriot John Leslie. The dead man’s reported sexual prowess leads our two coppers to a few of his past girlfriends.  And that’s when dick Leslie proves to be worthy of his occupation.

Seems that somebody is trying to pin the rap on one of the deceased’s friends, a sleazy but amiable fellow played by Joey Silvera.  But who’s behind the dirty dealings?  The puzzle ties neatly together, as all the principles are discovered to have played some part in the web of erotic suspense.

Trinity Brown is not unlike Dixie Ray, Hollywood Star, what with it’s as-good-as-porn-gets production values (photography, score, editing ands sets are all excellent), fine acting and hardbodied John Leslie in the lead. But Trinity Brown does Dixie Ray one better.  The problem with Dixie was that the sex wasn’t up to snuff with the intriguing mystery on hand.  Here the sexual elements are just right: all performers equal their previous undertakings.  Trinity Brown doesn’t offer a plot as well-conceived as Dixie Ray, but the sex is so hot that it doesn’t matter all that much.

Colleen Brennan, a mature leading performer and a breast fetishist’s delight, supplies a much-needed change-of-pace from the bubble-headed nymphs “emoting” in most flicks these days.  She’s likely to give Honey Wilder a run for her money in the “older woman you’d like to boff” department.  A scene with Joey Silvera offers an array of sexual positions Alex Comfort never even dreamed of.  John Leslie is his typical, self-assured self, wearing a leather jacket, chewing gum, and screwing the likes of delectables Kimberly Carson and Tamara Longley.  And Joey Silvera and R. Bolla turn in what’s expected from porn’s top supporting players.

Although the story falters a bit towards the end, director Robert McCallum proves sure of himself almost every step of the way, mixing appropriate slickness and seediness in expert fashion.  Trinity Brown is tough stuff to beat for adult entertainment.
