The Pornbirds, truly a surprise, is a witty, intelligent and sex-filled feature that shows off the positive features of shot-on-video in the very best way. The Pornbirds are four female friends who formed a club years ago to teach themselves all the great things traditional sex education left out.  They viewed porn, read erotica, etc. and gave themselves a fine education.  But now, three of them are having trouble with their mates: one man is so inhibited about sex that he’ll only do it in the dark (not even candlelight!) and covers her mouth with his hand if she gets loud.  Another will only make love in front of a mirror so that he can watch himself being entertained.  And the third man is a tad too kinky for his mate. So, one Friday night, they all come together for an intensive “Sex Workshop” to try and solve the problems they’ve been having.

And, boy, is it ever intense!  The combos keep changing, as each couple tries to fully develop their sexuality and eradicate their problems, with each other and many others.  There are a number of very hot lesbian encounters, and some inspired three-ways.  The sex is always believable, and everyone looks and acts like they are having a great time.  Part of this is due to the shot-on-video concept.  The actors are all quite good, and maintain a sense of humor and spontaneity that makes the sex realistic and very hot. The eight players seem like a group of good friends truly enjoying each other and enriching their sexual lives.

So, The Pornbirds is an ideal feature.  It’s great for couples because the storyline is intelligent and realistic (especially the problems the overly-inhibited man overcomes), the acting is surprisingly good and everyone is having a great time.  Of course, there’s plenty of heated sexual activity keeping things lively.  This one is highly recommended.
